We’ve put this handy guide together that details some of the delicious deals there are on each day of the week in this classic neighborhood within San Diego.

Monday: Georgia’s Greek Cuisine

Located on the edge of Midway, abutting Loma Portal, Georgia’s Greek Cuisine has been serving up authentic Greek foods since 1977. This lovely eatery serves beer and wine, as well as all of the staple Mediterranean dishes you love, such as mousaka, gyros, kebabs and stuffed grape leaves. They also make amazing desserts, ranging from Greek yogurt with honey and walnuts to baklava and rice pudding.

The Happy Hour specials at Georgia’s Greek Cuisine definitely reflect Greek hospitality. They serve select beers for just $3, while Californian wines by the glass are only $5. You can also enjoy discounted dishes, such as $5 grape leaves, falafel, feta with olives or tzatziki.

Tuesday: Kanda Thai Cuisine

Hours: Seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Happy Hour: All day on Tuesdays

Instead of celebrating the same old taco Tuesday, this week you can enjoy Thai Tuesday at Kanda Thai Cuisine. Like most Thai restaurants, this place serves fresh food cooked to order, including noodles, stews and, of course, curries. Whether you want spicy pork rib soup, shredded green papaya salad or stir-fried Pad Thai noodles, Kanda Thai Cuisine has your cravings covered.

Happy Hour specials include discounts on appetizers, as well as cheap beers, wine and sake. While the discounts do change, you can enjoy the Happy Hour pricing all day on Tuesdays, making this place the perfect spot to stop.

Wednesday: Phil’s BBQ

Happy Hour: Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

If you find yourself craving some sweet and spicy BBQ in the middle of the week, Phil’s BBQ has you covered. They cook up baby back ribs, beef ribs, grilled or BBQ chicken, sausages and plenty of tasty side dishes. They’ll even make sandwiches featuring their incredible meats, such as cheeseburgers and pulled pork sandwiches.

Happy Hour here can include discounts on beers, as well as on certain foods. You can enjoy a Flight of Four draft beer samples for $10. They also often serve up free onion rings during Happy Hour, while discounting other dishes, like their Broham Fries for just $5.

Thursday: Desi’s Bar & Grill

Hours: Monday-Thursday: 2 p.m. to 1 a.m., Friday and Saturday: 2 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
Happy Hour: Tuesday-Saturday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., Mondays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

For many people, Thursday is the unofficial kickoff to the weekend. You’ll be in great company if you decide to stop into Desi’s Bar & Grill for Happy Hour on a Thursday evening. Their menu includes all of the comfort food bar staples, such as burgers, wings, fries and similar dishes. They also have roughly 20 beers on tap.

Happy Hour specials include half off of wings on Mondays and Thursdays, as well as discounted craft beers. Ask you server for the day’s specials, and expect to pay only $3-$4 for a beer. You can also take $1 off of any other drink during Happy Hour!

Friday: Embargo Grill

What better way to kick off your Friday night than with authentic Caribbean and Latin American flavors at Embargo Grill? This authentic and affordable eatery was listed as one of the top 100 places to eat in the U.S. by Yelp in 2015 and one of Yelp’s Top 30 Restaurants in San Diego in 2017.

Although the prices are already quite reasonable, there are some excellent Happy Hour specials on weekday afternoons. Specials on drinks vary, so be sure to ask your server. You can expect affordable craft beer options by the glass or pitcher. You can also enjoy discounted appetizers, including $0.75 chicken wings, empanadas and croquetas. Fried yuca is only $0.40 each, while camarones mofongo are only $1.99.

Saturday: Devine Pastabilities

If you’re looking for a great place to enjoy a relaxing Saturday meal, look no farther than Devine Pastabilities. This eatery has an incredible and unique Italian-inspired menu, complete with daily โ€œTappy Hourโ€ specials. Be sure to check out their signature Torpasta, which is a stuffed roll filled with pasta.

During Happy Hour, you can enjoy a different beer each day on their discount Tappy Hour pricing, which is usually about $4 per pour. You can also enjoy $1 off of all appetizers and free breadholes with any beer or wine purchase. On Tuesdays, they expand Tappy Hour pricing to all beers, which remain $4 each until the restaurant closes.

The specials you can enjoy during Happy Hour include a free sake with every large beer you buy. You can also take 50 percent off of the price on select Chef’s Special Rolls, such as a Spider Roll, Crunchy Roll or Rainbow Roll.
