The power players who opened Hillcrest’s wildly successful Trust look like they’ve done it again. They’ve turned the old S&M Sausage and Meat (RIP – we were huge fans of their whiskey sours) space into Hundred Proof. This establishment offers modern, trendy dishes and upscale cocktails, as well as a number of local brews available as drafts, with more available by the bottle.
Hundred Proof also offers bottle service for groups and a Sunday brunch with a menu that includes Green Eggs and Ham, and a Korean short rib bowl.
A Strong Menu Sure to Leave You Smiling
You can start your meal off with a range of great openers, like deviled eggs with crispy chicken skin, truffle mushroom mac n’ cheese, short rib bao buns or even a stuffed soft pretzel. For main dishes, they serve burgers, grilled shrimp and several kinds of creative pizzas.
For dessert, you can order up one of their signature spiked milkshakes. There’s the Coffee & Donuts, the Horchata (featuring Cajeta and churro flavor), and Strawberry Shortcake, made with Chantilly and Cream Puff.
Powerful and Enjoyable Amenities Abound
Since this is a bar and restaurant, Hundred Proof isn’t a kid-friendly establishment. This is a better date night than family meal location. However, if you want to bring you fur babies, they do accommodate dogs in the outdoor seating area. It is a casual setting, so you won’t have to dress up. You can watch television or hop on the Wi-Fi, or you could simply enjoy impeccable dishes with good company.
Want to try out the offerings at Hundred Proof without paying standard prices? Stop in after work for Happy Hour specials! From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, you can order $7 cocktails, $6 house wines and $5 draft beers. You can also get $2 off food purchases.
