San Diego has a lot of incredible craft breweries, which gives our local beer lovers plenty of reason to celebrate. With well over a hundred local craft breweries, there are plenty of opportunities for them all to get together and throw special events.

The 24th Annual San Diego Festival of Beer is a perfect example. For one excellent Saturday afternoon, fans of local craft breweries can gather to enjoy unlimited samples from more than 50 different breweries. Of course, beer isn’t all that’s available. There will also be excellent entertainment, games and local food options.

Enjoy Craft Beer While Helping to Fight Cancer

The San Diego Festival of Beer is put on each year from the San Diego Professionals Against Cancer (SDPAC). This organization is totally run by volunteers, helping to ensure that all proceeds go directly to local charities that are helping fight cancer right here in San Diego. They have donated almost $700,000 to cancer charities since 1998.

Of course, you also benefit, because you get to socialize with other beer lovers while enjoying great brews and food. There are more than four-dozen participating breweries, including many local favorites. Ballast Point, Green Flash, Burning Beard Brewing Company, AleSmith Bewing Company, Belching Beaver and Latitude 33 will all be in attendance, serving more than 120 different varieties of craft beer for you to taste.

Tickets Are Currently Available for Purchase Online

If you want to save time and get right to the beer, buying tickets online ahead of time is the way to go, as the line can get quite long for this popular event. General admissions tickets will cost you $50. That price includes as many four-ounce samples as you want from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. during the festival.

For those who want the VIP experience, the Early Entrance tickets get you in the door at noon. You also receive a souvenir glass from which to sample the beers on tap. There will also be some special edition beers available only to those with Early Entrance tickets.

Of course, safety is very important, so there are discounted tickets for designated drivers. The same ticket is also good for those who want to attend and maybe enjoy a glass or two of wine from a vendor. Get your tickets now, especially if you want Early Entrance, as there are a limited number of tickets that will probably sell out.
