This party is so large that it shuts down the roads in part of the Gaslamp Quarter. The party rages for eight straight hours. There will be 50,000 square feet of astroturf rolled out around three stages producing great music. There will also be green beer (Bud Light), as well as Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey drinks. Ticket sales benefit the Gaslamp Quarter Historical Foundation, which helps visitors and locals alike remain close to the history of this neighborhood.

General Admission and VIP Tickets Still Available

Ticket prices increase as the day of the event draws nearer. Early registrants could pay as little as $45 for general admission. Currently, general admission tickets cost $55. The price will go up to $65 the day of the event. You can purchase tickets online here.

General admission tickets get you access to three stages featuring Irish and rock banks. There will be special beers and cocktails at 25 local bars without any cover. VIP ticket holders have a separate entrance. Their tickets also entitle them to seven complimentary drinks. Three of those drinks are at the VIP Bar in ShamROCK, called the Lucky Leprechaun. The other four are at nearby Gaslamp Quarter establishments. They also have access to a VIP lounge and restrooms.

Drinking, Music and a Festival-Like Atmosphere

This year marks the 24th year of San Diego ShamROCK. People from all over California and the country will be attending this party, with its incredible music and riotous fun. With an assortment of the best Irish music and rock, there will certainly be performers you can enjoy.

The three stages, The Pub Stage, The Pint Stage and The Clover Stage, will each feature a line-up of amazing musicians and DJs. The Pint Stage will feature performances by Black Irish Texas, Drunken Lullabies and Everlast. The Pub Stage will host DJ Heart Attack, Vtech and Too Short, while The Clover Stage will host Justic Caruso and ESCOBAR, among others.

For those who enjoy visual entertainment, you can look forward to watching performances by go-go dancers in plaid, as well as traditional Irish step dancers. Although there will definitely be other St. Patrick’s Day events around town, ShamROCK will certainly be one of the biggest and most exciting ways to spend the day.
