For the 14th time, San Diego will celebrate local cuisine for a full week! San Diego Restaurant Week allows locals and tourists alike to enjoy all kinds of delectable dishes from some of the best chefs and restaurants around the city.

Much like the Restaurant Week event in the fall, this mid-winter celebration of the local food scene will drive a lot of traffic to participating restaurants. Diners can enjoy meals at restaurants they have never tried or perhaps enjoy completely new dishes at an eatery where they know they enjoy the chef’s creations.

A Prix Fixe Experience at Over 180 Restaurants

Prix fixe menus allow chefs the creativity to carefully pair certain dishes and provide foodies an opportunity to enjoy a two- or three-course meal for a simple, flat charge. Two-course meals cost anywhere from $10 per person to $30 per person, while three-course meals range from $20 per diner to $50 per diner. With 180 restaurants participating this time, there is certainly going to be something that appeals to everyone during Restaurant Week.

Their website lets you search for the types of food you most enjoy or sort participating locations by price or location. If you’re craving Creole and Cajun dishes, for example, you can stop into House of Blues San Diego, where their Prix Fixe menu runs for $30. If sushi is more your speed, there are 10 different participating restaurants that are serving what you love. You can also find Greek, Mexican, fusion and even vegan food during Restaurant Week.

If you have kids or work second shift, you don’t have to worry about being left out.
