If you’re looking for a meal that’s as cute as it is delicious, you need to stop into Nom Nom Bento. This new eatery, located in Pacific Beach, has recently opened to serve adorable and delicious Pan-Asian dishes. Although bento is usually packed to go, the décor in Nom Nom Bento is so adorable that you might decide to enjoy your meal there!

For those who aren’t familiar, bento boxes are what the Japanese call single-serving dishes, such as take-out or homemade lunches. Many times, these meals contain rice or noodles, as well as protein, such as fish or meat, and vegetables carefully arranged in a box.

Bento Boxes for Every Taste!

Nom Nom Bento offers both Signature Bentos and Build Your Own Bento options. Signature Bentos include the Saigon Shrimp, which contains garlic lemongrass shrimp, chilled rice noodles (or greens instead), spicy daikon and carrots, crushed garlic chili peanuts, crispy shallots and garlic and cilantro lime sauce. They also have a Seoul Steak bento with Korean marinated beef bulgogi, kim chee and roasted sweet potatoes or a Shibuya Pork Belly bento with pork Chashu, mashed edamame and an egg.

If building your own is your idea of fun, you’ll have plenty of choices! You can choose your base, including rice, noodles, greens, sweet potato or mashed edamame, followed by your choice of protein, ranging from rotisserie chicken to crispy tofu. From there, you can add two toppings and a sauce, all for just $9.

For side dishes, they offer spring rolls, greens, bone broth and garlic chili peanuts. For dessert, be sure to try one of their fried doughnuts with lilikoi creme anglaise. Whether you want something to take back to work or a casual, fun place to enjoy a meal with friends, Nom Nom Bento is a great choice!
